Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & Cybersecurity Courses Announced By DRDO

Two online courses-short term programme on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and online training and certification course on cybersecurity announced by the prestigious establishment – Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO). DRDO’s two courses would by organized by the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT).

DIAT is a deemed university and an autonomous organization. It is funded by the Defence PSU.

The duration of the programmes are 12-weeks long, and it would consist of two-hour sessions for five days a week.

Selected artificial intelligence and machine learning candidates will get training on probability theory, pattern recognition, big data analytics, computer vision, natural language processing, augmented reality, deep learning, and other fundamental and advanced AI/ML topics.

Candidates interested to pursue the course will have to go through an entrance test conducted on February 20. Graduate students from any stream are eligible to appear for the exam. They will be tested on their programming knowledge, basics of algorithms, databases, data structure, statistics, probability and modular mathematics.

The Cybersecurity course will consist of fundamentals and advanced topics like forensic and incident response, system programming, reverse engineering, and malware analysis, basic and advanced vulnerability analysis, exploit mitigation, and penetration testing.

Students will get training on the tools and techniques required for Cyber Security professionals for a period of 12 weeks.

For Cybersecurity also, students will have to take an entrance exam, which will be conducted on Februay 21. The students will be asked questions in fundamentals of operating systems, networking, system software, data structures, and programming languages.

The registration window for both the courses will open on January 28 and end on February 15. Aspiring candidates may register themselves on onlinecourse.diat.ac.in, for free.

The results will get declared on February 22. Once the students are selected, they will have to pay a fee of Rs. 15,000 within February 26 and after that the course will commence from February 28.
